The Standard Suite sleeps two adults features an en-suite bathroom as well as an outside shower, and a private patio overlooking the extensive game reserve. The Standard Rooms can also be combined into a Family Room which includes an additional two sleeper-couches. Satellite TV is available for a Family Room option only.

2 Luxury Suites that open onto a shared lounge (which can sleep 2 children on sleeper couches) allow for a spacious family offering that can sleep up to 6 people. The lounge and covered patio provide for a welcome retreat from the heat of the day. The lounge has a flat screen TV with DSTV.

Executive Suite
The Executive Suites provide guests with an en-suite, indoor steam shower, as well as a double outdoor shower, and private patio with private heated pool. The suite also allows guests to relax in their private lounge with satellite TV.

The Private Villa include two en-suite rooms, each with a private outdoor shower. The villa’s patio offers panoramic views of the reserve, as well as a private plunge pool. The inside offers a spacious lounge with satellite TV.

We were lucky enough to be able to make a brief trip to Pilanesberg, where we stayed at Shepherd's Tree. We've experienced safari getaways in the Kruger National Park before, but never Pilanesberg. For the price, this experience was well beyond expectation! I would thoroughly recommend this for facilities, hospitality, and the game drives.Though not quite the Sabi Sabi experience, where you get a ranger and a tracker, and the ability to be driven safely off road and into the real bush, we found our ranger really experienced and knowledgable, and the drives were the highlight of our two day stay. It's easy to get to, and the food was excellent. We stayed in a villa with its own private pool and boma, and spectacular views. PippaFish2023-04-13Fabulous Family Holiday We recently spent 4 days at the lodge. Sydney our Ranger was great and made every effort for us to see as many animals as possible. He’s a real character and we loved our game drives with him. The accommodation is beautifully presented and the outdoor showers are a great touch.The food is good although the evening menu can be improved a bit but nonetheless still good but not excellent. Early morning snacks pre game drive and afternoon snacks are very plain and dull. A very pleasant stay with some areas for improvement but we would be more than happy to visit again
Ed F2023-04-10Great Experience We spent three nights here as part of a tour group. Very nice large suite rooms. Our only complaint is that the shower is outdoor shower. That was chilly to use during our stay. There is a large tub inside however. There is no TV in the rooms. They have a golf cart shuttle service to the rooms as they are a long walk from the lodge. It worked efficiently. The restaurant was very good for all three meals. This place is all about the game drives There are two drives per day for about 3 hrs. each. Be prepared to rise early for the morning drive. Our guide was excellent and we saw a tremendous amount of African wildlife. My only concern is that it can be difficult for older people like those in our group to get in and out of the safari truck. The guides to not help you and I wonder if there is some policy about that. I do recommend this place.fre10022023-03-25Great start to our Holidays Shepherds Tree was a great start to a holiday which will be hard to beat, 3 nights stayed. The accommodation was great and staff very attentive. Sean our Game.Ranger was great very knowledgeable and informative. He went out of his way to ensure we viewed big cats along with the other big 5 family.We.have a thirst to visit South Africa in the near future including going on another safari. .
